The Motorsport Association of Pakistan (MAP) is a member of the Federation Internationale de L Automobile (FIA). It is the National Sporting Authority (ASN) appointed by the FIA for Pakistan. MAP’s primary responsibility is the governance of automotive sport in Pakistan under the International Sporting Code of the FIA. Globally, motorsport is governed by the FIA.
MAP is a non-profit organization. It is the Association responsible for the governance of automotive sport in Pakistan under the International Sporting Code of the FIA.
Globally, all motorsport is governed by the FIA. The FIA appoints an ASN for each of its member countries. The ASN is the recognized holder of the Sporting Power for all branches of motorsport in its country. There is only one ASN per country.
Off-road motorsport activities in Pakistan are administered by the MAP Off Road Commission, which is charged with specific responsibility for strategic planning and development for national off-road events. The activities that come under the Off-Road Commission include rally cross, buggies/quad racing, stage rallies, cross-country rallies and off-road racing US style. Its responsibilities include the development and monitoring of technical, safety and sporting rules, regulations and policies pertaining to all forms of off-road racing.
Circuit racing activities in Pakistan are administered by the MAP Circuit Racing Commission, which is charged with specific responsibility for strategic planning and development for national circuit racing events. The activities that come under the Circuit Racing Commission include saloon/touring cars, single-seater open wheel formula racing, and autocross/sprint events. Its responsibilities include the development and monitoring of technical, safety and sporting rules, regulations and policies pertaining to all forms circuit racing.
Karting activities of all forms in Pakistan are administered by the MAP Karting Commission, which is charged with specific responsibility for strategic planning and development for national karting events. Its responsibilities include the development and monitoring of technical, safety and sporting rules, regulations and policies pertaining to karting.
The MAP Licensing Commission administers all licensing matters for Pakistani nationals. The Commission is charged with the specific responsibility for the licensing of all Pakistani drivers, marshals, and officials. Its responsibilities include establishing the rules, regulations, medical requirements and policies pertaining to licensing and approving the physicians authorized to conduct medical examinations for licensing purposes as well as training facilities and programs for delivering various required courses.
The MAP Circuits & Safety Commission is the commission responsible for the development of motor racing circuits in Pakistan. It has the specific responsibility for development of circuit regulations taking into account the unique conditions found in Pakistan. This commission is also responsible for the inspection and homologation of existing circuits, be it karting or automobile racing, at a national level.
The main objective of the Media & Marketing Commission is the promotion of motorsport in Pakistan. This Commission is responsible for creating proposals for prospective sponsors, and advertising and marketing of the sport. It is also responsible for creating proposals for media partnerships, media planning and negotiating with the media for the media rights. This Commission will advise on strategy formulation to seek government support for development and promotion of motorsport in Pakistan.

Starting off as a small karting team from Pakistan, XVR has gone on to become the premier racing team of the nation. Having competed in international karting races XVR is now a full-fledged motor racing club.
The FIA, headquartered in Paris, is an International organization grouping together Automobile Clubs from all over the world that have joined together in order to carry on their activities and to defend the cause of motoring & motorsports. It is a non-profit organization in existence for more than 100 years. There are two main wings of the FIA; 1) the World Council for Mobility, and 2) the World Motor Sport Council. The FIA is responsible for the International Sporting Code and endorses the sport through its various ASN’s.
